How Many Vehicles Are in GTA 6?

Rockstar has confirmed more than 200 vehicles for GTA 6 through official material, and community trackers have individually identified close to that number already — well before launch. For context, GTA V launched with a large roster that grew past 700 across a decade of GTA Online updates; GTA 6’s launch garage is shaping up to be the deepest the series has offered on day one, and a third trailer is expected to reveal more.

Every vehicle also features fully interactive interiors — detailed dashboards, and even adjustable seats and steering-wheel positions — a step up in fidelity from GTA V.

Confirmed Vehicle Categories

GTA 6’s lineup spans every classic category, using Rockstar’s in-universe parody brands (Pegassi, Grotti, Obey, Pfister, Bravado, Vapid, Principe, Nagasaki, Shitzu, Dinka, Maibatsu, and more):

• Cars — from everyday sedans and SUVs to muscle cars and high-end supercars. The Pegassi supercar brand alone appears to have multiple models, alongside the returning Grotti Cheetah (an Ultimate Edition bonus).
• Motorcycles — confirmed to play a bigger role than in GTA V, with dirt bike racing called out as a side activity. Named bikes include the new Principe Alvino V1 and Maibatsu dirt bikes.
• Boats and watercraft — central to the water-heavy map: jet-skis (Speedophile Seashark), speedboats, yachts, and swamp craft.
• Aircraft — helicopters including the returning Nagasaki Buzzard Attack Chopper, plus planes.
• Public transport and utility — vans, trucks, and service vehicles.

Note: many models have been matched to real-world cars by the community, but Rockstar uses parody brand names, so real-world identifications are unofficial.

The Airboat — A Brand-New Vehicle Type

One standout is the airboat (fanboat) — a flat-bottomed, fan-propelled swamp boat that has never appeared in a GTA game before. It’s purpose-built for the Everglades-inspired Grassrivers wetlands of Leonida, where regular boats can’t go. Two variants have already surfaced (the standard Airboat and the “Airboat 09”), along with a swamp patrol boat, underlining how much the map’s geography shaped the vehicle roster.

Mod Shops, Dealerships, and Storage

Vehicles tie directly into GTA 6’s economy and customization:

• Mod shops are confirmed, letting you upgrade engines, brakes, suspension, transmission, wheels, lights, and paint. Some are locked to the Ultimate Edition — including Rideout Customs in Vice City and One-Eyed Willie’s in Lake Leonida (see our Editions & Price guide).
• Dealerships and showrooms across the map let you buy vehicles outright.
• Safehouses and garages store your collection, and vehicle trunks double as weapon storage, linking driving to your combat loadout.

Vehicle Physics and Handling

GTA 6’s vehicles are more physically simulated than ever. Heavy vehicles show frame twisting and suspension sag when loaded or landing jumps, and handling changes noticeably between an empty and a fully loaded cargo bed. Motorcycles feature improved crash physics — clip a curb at speed and the rider ragdolls over the handlebars. On the water, boats create realistic wakes that bounce off hulls and shorelines. It all points to driving and riding that feels weightier and more reactive than GTA V.
