GTA 6 is a current-generation console exclusive at launch. There is no PS4 or Xbox One version, and no confirmed Nintendo Switch 2 release. A PC version has not been announced — based on Rockstar’s release pattern with GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2, a PC port typically follows console launch by a year or more, but nothing is officially confirmed for GTA 6 yet. Why Was GTA 6 Delayed?

GTA 6 has been delayed twice since its first trailer in December 2023:

1. 1.Original window: Fall 2025. The December 2023 reveal trailer pointed to a 2025 launch, which Take-Two's investor communications narrowed to Fall 2025.
2. 2.First delay — May 26, 2026. On May 2, 2025, Rockstar announced the game would miss Fall 2025, pushing it to May 26, 2026. The studio said it needed the extra time “to deliver at the level of quality you expect and deserve.”
3. 3.Second delay — November 19, 2026. On November 6, 2025, Rockstar delayed the game again, this time by roughly six months, shifting it to the current November 19, 2026 date.

As of mid-2026, Take-Two executives — including CEO Strauss Zelnick — have publicly stated they don’t expect further delays, and the company’s fiscal 2027 financial projections are built around the November launch. Nothing is ever 100% guaranteed until release day, but this is currently the most stable the date has been since the game was announced.

Editions and Pricing

GTA 6 ships in two editions:

• Standard Edition — $79.99. The complete single-player story following Jason and Lucia through Vice City and Leonida.
• Ultimate Edition — $99.99. Everything in Standard, plus roughly 16 extra premium vehicles, weapons, and outfits, and access to two exclusive in-game shops — Rideout Customs in Vice City and One-Eyed Willie’s in Lake Leonida. Ultimate Edition bonuses unlock gradually as you progress through the story, chapter by chapter, rather than all at once.

Standard Edition owners can purchase the Ultimate Edition upgrade separately at any time after launch, so you don’t have to decide everything on day one.

Pre-Order Bonus: The Vintage Vice City Pack

Anyone who pre-orders — or buys digitally before November 20, 2026 — gets the Vintage Vice City Pack for free, regardless of which edition they choose. It’s a nostalgia-themed cosmetic bundle built around the neon ’80s aesthetic of the original Vice City, including:

• A classic ’55 Vapid Stanier sedan and the Shore Court personal garage near Ocean Beach
• Period-style outfits and hairstyles for both Jason and Lucia

When Does GTA 6 Unlock in My Time Zone?

Rockstar hasn’t published a full region-by-region unlock chart, but based on its usual release pattern, GTA 6 is expected to go live at midnight local time in each region — meaning players in Australia and New Zealand will likely unlock the game several hours before those in Europe, the UK, and North America, purely due to time zone differences.
